Just because it's that big doesn't mean that it has a huge amount of mass.  It could be hollow or something.

If the earth was as big as the sun, the sun would have to be very much larger to keep us in orbit.....

If the EARTH were that big and we were somehow able to survive here?  Well...gravity would tear the flesh from our skeletons and then crush the skulls right out from under us.  That's in a universe where EVERYTHING is purportionally BIGGER including orbits and the NEW bigger sun.  So...yeah....rlights are going to take forever.

AND defying the laws of gravity would be immensly difficult as in trying to get the plane off the ground the wings would have to be super strong

Pssh, who needs the sun. We'll start our own solar system, including us the moon and pluto. Oh and lets keep Canada on mars.

We'd probably not survive with the earth that size being that larger objects have more gravity than smaller objects. We'd probably weigh in about 100,000(just guessing) pounds if the earth were the size of the sun.

That provides a whole new perspective when it comes to people complaining about how fat and overweight they are.
