I feel lucky to be alive! (post about fads)

10 replies 125 views Edited Oct 20, 2013

So, I was talking to a friend on facebook (fellow anime lover) and they mentioned something about smoking smarties, so I googled it and low and behold, another fad! really? whats with kids and dangerous fads? I dont worry as much as i should because i know some of them will mature, though i know these days a bunch wont.

so here is my point: what fads did you hear of growing up? did you try any? i know if i tried as a kid, i would be locked in our basement for hours! i was never into fads. when i was a kid, i would wake up, go to school, learn, come home and play video games (teachers never botherd giving me homework for some reason till i was in highschool, there was one time in elementary but if your curious about that story just ask), i never hung out with anyone or went over anyones house. yeah i talked to others in school but that was about it. i never knew what a fad was lol.

something else i am thinking of. which braindead child goes "hmmm maybe i can smoke this" i mean it is candy or other types of food ment to be eaten, not to be snorted or fake snorting. maybe i am just to old or arrogent or ignorant.

sniffing magic markers was one of those 90's fads.

That's the only one I could think of back when I was in elementary school

The new thing is alcohol enemas. Stronger buzz and it gets to you quickly. And, for whatever reason, college guys are all too happy to put liquid in their buttocks.

Hmm... the only stupid thing I can remember growing up was the toad licking myth... and hearing about some kids trying it on the news.

I never took part in any of it.

The only "Fads" I was ever a part of was things pertaining to electronics and gaming. And honestly those weren't fads, because they have had a consistent presence for 20 years now.
