i could get a new tv in my room or use the hdtv downstairs (i will edit this post later with the pic of that tv) but the only problem is that if its downstairs id prolly have to stop at like 10:00 but if it was in my room i could play untill whenever so id suggest playing downstairs for Winter, Spring, Fall but play the ps3 in the summer since i dont have school

I also have the 24" gateway HD monitor and i love it for playing my 360 on when the wife is on the TV.....PS3 is hooked up to the TV all the time so i havent had the chance to hook it up to it yet.

A nice plasma could be mounted there but also nothin is wrong with a 20+ inch thats HD like I have. Got my 24' at walmart for $240

Plasmas are cool but very impractical.   they have the shortest lifespans of any TV.  They burn in easily, and are way too expensive for what they are.

I can see you not fitting a 42 or 46 inch LCD on the stand you have now to be honest. I helped my sister hook up a sammy 46 last night, although it looks huge, it should fit there perfectly.

also, look at places like circuit city that gives you stats on tv like how big there are horizontally and vertically (and what they weigh).
