Re: How to make a Civic faster?

Ughh...The Honda Civic is sooooo played out. Everyone and their mother drives one that's all hooked up. If you want to hook up a car and be original...Don't hook up a Civic.

I should know...I have one, and I plan to trade it in.

I know this one! Decrease density, and increase RPM of the tires.

if its newer its probably fuel injected... throw a cold air intake on it.. thatll give it about 5-10 more horses.. then slap on a good exhaust like a greddy setup with a header.... that right there will throw ya another 5-10hp... if you need more than that.. its gonna cost ya alot... injectors..cams.. lifters..valves...head..

a sticker with a apc logo on it or any other decals add 5 hp.

spoiler = 1 hp

but SERIOUS HP, the way to go is get a exhaust, light wheels and turbo setup or engine tweaks.

The obvious problem is that a small car with a stock, small engine will never be fast. Tuning the engine to give you more power will only shorten its life, although it will give you a great deal of fun as it rapidly burns out. The answer will always be to get a bigger engine, or better still, a bigger car with a much, much bigger engine.
I do like the idea of the rocket though.

he said for cheap, not for thousands of dollars.

p.s - spark plugs will help a lil bit = they cost some where around 20 dollars. cold air intake - around 200-300 dollars, maybe a better exhaust and thats about it if you want to make it a lil faster.

Do what Homer Simpson did: Put speed holes on your hood with a pick-axe.
