because the ps3 is still new so that must be a problem like the 360 had and that must be a debuged 360

But all the early reviews of the PS3 said it's "cool or warm to the touch" and it doesn't "overheat". So how can the overheating PS3 at Best Buy be explained?

the 360 has a cooling unit that you can buy seperatley....maybe they are using that.

Went into an EB games with my little brother because he wanted to get a game, I was listening ot the game at the desk and he was on the phone asking "What's up with the PS3?" after that first question I started to laugh, and then I laughed even harder when he asked "Is it suppose to sound like a jet engine is taking off when I start it up at the beginning of the day?"
