Depends on what you have running what needs to stay running and if you are worried about power saving in anyway.  I personally turn mine off.

i usually leave it on but not overnight.
i was always lazy to turn on the computer everyday so i placed it on standby.
the next time you turn it on, it is where you left off.
after a few days of doing that, my hard drive crash. lucky me.

If my computers on I just turn a screen saver on.  Hibernate and sleep take a little 2 much time to get up and running for me.  Also turning off you computer flushes your ram which is good for windows users.

Well, I think it depends how long you leave your computer on hibernate. 1-2 hours is probably fine, otherwise I would turn it off.

Same here. I like having it on sleep, that way I can load a game when I choose.
