Help with Microsoft Word

14 replies 1 views Edited Mar 21, 2007
Alright. I have a paper to type up. My friend gave me and idea. The font of the paper is 12 point. In word he searched for all the periods, and he changed them to 14 point font. It made his paper substantially longer, and the change of the size of the periods was unnoticable. Does anyone know how to do this in microsoft word? Search out a certain word, or in this case a certain punctuation mark?

There's a button on the tool bar that searches for you.  Or you could press ctrl+F

But if you change the size of the periods, or even adjust the margins slightly inwards, how does it make the paper longer?  Isn't it still the same amount of words?

This is a paper length paper. Not a certain amount of words.
