Help, XBL! X-360

21 replies 2 views Edited Mar 16, 2007
Ok, I just got a 360, i need to know, can you plug the ethernet cable into a laptop & use it as an access point, or does it have to be into the back of a router or the "official" wireless adapter?

Yes, you can do that.

Just go into your Network Connections on your computer, right click the wireless connection, and go to properties. Click the Advanced tab, and click the checkbox by "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection."

After doing that, plugging the 360 into the laptop's ethernet port should allow the 360 to connect to Xbox Live.

No idea....I have no experience with Macs.

It works fine with XP laptops, so there must be a way to get it to work with Macs.
