The news said that Lake Michigan is expected to have anywhere from 5 to 12 foot waves due to the high winds. I live a stone's throw from the shore so........here's hoping for the best.

They were surfing on Lake Michigan today, it was so cool!

Much stronger than the average person thought.  I guess we are all used to forecasts that never come to fruition, see Irene 2011.

Hope all are well.

Since the hurricane ended.  Does this mean Halloween is still on for the east coast? lol

travel from house-to-house via a small boat to get candy, avoiding sharks in the process.

Re: HURRICANE SANDY!!

Some interesting news about greed.

While the City of New York, and surrounding Metro Area including New Jersey, was under a MANDATORY EVACUATION; the tolls for the necessary bridges and tunnels were open and charging as usual.

Way to go MTA.  In other words; during this mandatory evacuation, if you did not have the $3.50 or higher, (depending on your route), you could not evacuate.  That is compassion for you.

Keep in mind, the tolls are already reopened in the area and have FULL POWER.  Thousands are without power, but lets make sure the tolls have power.  Would not want to miss out on an increase in the revenue stream.  I am sure the MTA will apply for Federal Disaster Reimbursements as well.

Shameful!
