It seems safe to me but dude the quickest way is to just hold the power button down for 5 seconds.

Lol, i should do that and put it in the startup folder or add it to msconfig startup.

Both are fine, they're just the shortcuts that the system uses to shut down your PC. Just do what the first link did if you want to shut down your PC quickly instead of going to Start > Turn off Computer > Shutdown. Not sure why anyone would be in such a rush that they can't take the extra half a second to open the start menu, though.
