Now, the PlayStation 3 is being asked to render literally hundreds of armored knights but in realilty it's rendering SPRITES(2d models). The technique is called GEOMETRY INSTANCING. You can easily see when sprites turn into 3d 10 meters befor you!

"The game starts to lose its luster is in a number of places. The framerate is just not up to par...during dragon-to-dragon battles...it sank to rates that I'd consider bordering on unplayable...The game also appeared to be heavily aliased, with jagged edges most noticeable on dragon wings..." while displayed on Sony 1080p Bravias.

hahah 2d **bleep**.

You see what's happening is this:

The Sony Playstation 3 is the most powerful supercomputer in the world.

It is ACTUALLY rendering Lair SO FAST that the human eye can't percieve it. The framerates are toppling in the billions per second, so it looks like a choppy game to normal people.

Sony says we are all used to seeing inferior hardware like the XBOX 360, Wii, and HD DVD that we have to retrain our brains so we can keep up with their new system. I assume a game along the lines of Brain Age (but obviously WAY better) will be coming out for the PS3 to facilitate this.

LOL @ PS3.

Motorstorm also had bad framerate before it was launch in Japan so I'll wait until it's release to pass judgement...

1. Kotaku
2. As Sly stated - unfinished game
3. C.I.W. attempting to slander Sony in any way he can

It's all good though.
