HALO 3 Beta Question

16 replies 1 views Edited Jan 26, 2007
I was wondering if you will be able to buy Crackdown w/ access to HALO 3 beta in stores such as Best Buy, Circuit City, EBGames, etc...

Or is this a online purchase only?

The hell with going that route.

I wanted to play it before it came out but I wouldn't go out and buy a game just to do so.

Online purchase = no.

There have been 3 sessions for Beta signups.  First was after the Stary Night ad's first showing and going to www.halo3.com and doing the beta sign up.  Second was doing the limited time matchmaking runs on Halo 2 and being one of a certain thousand people during that time being picked for the session.  You would have been given a XBL message if you were picked.

As for Crackdown, some like it some don't.  I enjoy the title a lot and the online Co op is amazing for the demo in terms of replay value.  So I'm clearly getting Crackdown for its game first and having a shot at Halo 3 beta is only a small bonus for me as I really don't play much Halo in the first place.

You're confusing Crackdown's selling as a beta sale.  You still need the Crackdown DVD (which you can order from nearly any online retailer and physical store, yes) to get access to the game, as such there is still no individual Halo 3 beta purchase.

The Crackdown demo is fun.

HOWEVER, I feel that the game itself will have not much more to offer. Obviously a much bigger area, but besides that, a lot of stuff is in the demo.
