to show my appreciation im going to go outside on the sidewalk and start waving my guns around in the air! brb.

personaly, the gun laws Obama is purposing are no big deal. i live in California, our gun laws are already extremely strict; in fact i think all the stuff Obama has purposed is already a law in CA. Smiley Very Happy

I have mixed feelings on this, I do believe that people should have the right to own a gun, but I do feel that me need tighter gun control and do background checks on people, because you never though when people might snap on day and start doing crazy thing with there guns.

At least you can own them there without being sandbagged by the local authorities.

legal guns? Smiley Tongue

but Cali law prevents the purchase of any assault type gun, its also illegal to posses any assault weapon and any .50 cal weapon. full auto guns are illegal unless you have a permit. rifles with mags that are sold also must have a bullet button to prevent quick reloads. you also cannot buy or posses mags that hold more than 10 rounds, applies to rifles and handguns.

the classifications of an "assault weapon" are also pretty in-depth. i just looked them up and apparently i own a couple. O.o

pretty much just due to the stock of the gun.

Oh really?

I'd rather just do open carry in the public view. Which is legal in some areas depending on your local laws.

I don't follow American gun laws much less American law/politics in general but maybe stricter access to ammunition would help. I think the right to carry arms is an outdated right. Times have changed, it's not necessary to be armed anymore in that sense. Of course this will never change but from my perspective, with tighter gun/ammo laws there would be less gun violence. This has been proven in Europe, Austrailia and Canada.

I really shouldnt go into here but if I get banned YOLO.
Ill keep it mellow.

I don't see any reason why anyone would need a fully auto or a semi auto gun. You don't need it to hunt, or protect yourself. If idiots had a non auto gun then that gives people enough time to take down the potential killer. Also when the second amendment was written, THEY HAD MUSKETS, Not autos.

Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against guns. I think they are really cool and it's fun to shoot targets and I totally respect hunting as a means of survival or hobby.
