Scare tactic? Are you stupid?
deep, titanic, make the dance panic, one-a-penny, two-a-penny, vibe you can't manage

Scare tactic? Is that why 10 of the warmest years ever recorded by man have been in the last 14 years? Is that why the current CO2 levels are as high as we've ever seen them? Is that my polar icecaps are breaking, melting, splitting? Is that why hurricanes are intensifying and shorelines being eroded? Ohhhh, right, it's just a "scare tatic". Uhhhh, no. Understand?

there is a Playstaion DVDs thread for this

but yea, it was a great documentary

This is a topic that spans more than just the movie...  I assume at least 10 people will come in here and try and spew some sort of crap about how it isn't real and isn't based on science, so the thread will expand beyond a direct discussion of movie specifics...  It belongs here

Well, to get the ball rolling....:smileyhappy:

IMO, yeah it's real, but there really is nothing we can do about it. Nada. I mena come on, everything in the world relies on Co2 produxing plants, we have Co2 producing cars. If you ask every rich or poor person on earth to get rid of all their cars, buy more expensive hybrids, then ask ALL of the USA and China to switch to cleaner plants, all in like 50 years? Aint gonna happen. Might as well just accept it, and deal with it.

If everyone takes that approach that's an accurate statement...  If all governments and as many businesses as possible get on board with change then we have a decent shot at mitigating many of the worst consequences...  Unfortunately, there will be casualties-- like the American Car Industry-- but they are already suffering because import cars offer such more efficient gas mileage and emissions...  Besides, if nations' governments impose very minor taxes and worldwide donations are started, again, we can help mitigate industries that struggle the most with the changes that have to be made.

Anything is possible...

Rent this movie...

We've all heard of global warming, but, believe me, you haven't fully understood it until you see this movie...

Set aside the fact that Al Gore is in this...  it really has nothing to do with politics, and everything to do with what we're doing to our Earth.

Get the word out.

Thx.

lol my french teacher told us to watch this a week ago... i was like... no
