Getting new Computer!!! Little help knowing if I could...................

14 replies 3 views Edited Jan 28, 2007
Well I will be buying a new computer in a week and the computer I want has a very nice monitor (19 inch E197FP Analog Flat Panel)
As you see in the picture below it has a DVI port. Well I have a ps3 and to play in HD on my t.v. I bought a HDMI to DVI cable sice my tv only supported DVI. So my question is will this work plugging it into the monitor with my HDMI/DVI cable? Also DVI does not support sound so would I use the PS3's regular cables (The red, yellow, white things that plug into a t.v.) and plug it into the computer to get sound out of my speakers?

Can I plug in the composite cables for sound somewhere behind this?^

Would the sound come out here then?

For your monitor, I'd get the 20" widescreen, much better for your PS3.

For sound, you need to by an AV adapter to mini jack, I have one for my Wii, which I use on my 24" Dell monitor.

Dell? Great choice. Nevermind all the Dell haters, these are users who don't know how to operate a PC, so they blame the company.
