Gamestop a rip off?

50 replies 378 views Edited Sep 3, 2012

How many people besides me feel that they are being ripped off when they try to sell or trade in a used game?

Cause I found it ridiculous that If I have a game that's barley a month old from it's release date and the best I can get is Ten dollar's and less or maybe ten percent off any other purchase.

Does any one else feel that they are getting ripped of when it comes to trading in used games?

Nope, you're not alone BlackRock, actually I hardly ever purchase anything from GS anyway, let alone exchange games there, I prefer Amazon for most of my new game purchases & their trade-in values are not bad either.

To be honest with you trading in games has always been a nightmare if you want to get any decent money back on a trade-in, it's something we all deal with, but yes, I do tink GS are some of the worst culprits for offering the lowest.

It's really deprssing to know that you can never really get a good tradein deal at gaming stores now really It's still pretty stupid.

Once I had a NEW! game that I just didn't enjoy and I wanted to trade it in and the best I got was TEN GOOD FOR NOTHING DOLLARS!!!!

I was upset the game was four weeks old when I got it.

(The game I bought was BlazBlue -EXTEND-).

Here was my face right when I saw in back of the counter top BlazBlue EXTEND pre-owned for $35.00

Hey BlackRock, not that it offends me personally but just a heads-up, before a Moderator sees it or before someone else reports it you may want to remove that picture from your last post, it breaks Forum guidelines!

A lot of the time younger people come to these Forums looking for help too.

I just handed in my resignation today after working the last month there. It was an excruciating period for me, almost coming to the point of making me hate video games. I thought it would be cool at first, to indirectly working in the industry, but I would not recommend it for anyone. And you're correct, their system regarding used games sucks, but it's definitely a cash cow for them. As it stands, I feel so relieved to not be there anymore.
