Games you bought but rarely/never played.

34 replies 220 views Edited Apr 29, 2013

I was looking through my games and realized there were some old games I bought but never even put them into my PS3 for more than a few minutes, then lost interest in playing and forgot about them. Have you ever done this? What games were they?

Rarely used if ever:

Tomb Raider Trilogy

IL Sturmovik Birds of Prey

Oblivion

Hot Shots Golf Out of Bounds

Battlefield 3

I play most of my games, but I take huge hiatuses (hiati?) in the middle of them. After owning them since day 1, I only beat Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time and the GoW: HD Collection in the past month. Assassin's Creed 2 was only this past October (I even bought the big ol' special edition for that one). Other games I'm currently not playing:

-Assassin's Creed 3

-LittleBigPlanet 2

-Crysis 3

-GoW 3

-Prototype 2

-Heavy Rain

-Tomb Raider

-Far Cry 3

-Alien vs. Predator

-The Darkness 1 + 2

-Max Payne 3

-Uncharted 3

-MGS4

*sigh* First world problems...

I got some of those, yeah.

Battlefield 3. Haven't played a SINGLE match yet, mainly because I could really use a better PC before I will .

Overlord 2, because I haven't finished the first one yet (haven't really played that one either, but I guess I'm pretty far in it)

Max Payne 3. Again, haven't even tried yet.

Counter Strike: Source

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage

Lead and Gold: Gangs of Wild West

Possibly some other games too. I'll add them once I remember them.

@InTheBushes321 Where did you get your Journey avatar? It's probably not available to obtain anymore, hmm?

Games I've bought but never played can be found on my PSN Profiles page ( the ones that are rank F ).

I bought a special edition Journey bundle at Walmart. Came with:

Flower

Flow

Journey

A sh*tload of psn avatars(around 20)

A free month to PS+

Only cost $20, too. I don't think it's still at Walmart, but it's likely on Ebay.

Oh man..

I wasnt pumped up at all over resident evil 6.
But then i saw an ign article and a deal that capcom was offering with the preorder bundle of re6
The set was a resident evil anthology but the preorder item was an official umbrella umbrella.
Now that got me pumped. I received my copy of re6 almost a week before it was even in store and only played it that one day only.
Played with my awesome umbrella umbrella even more so. Its awesome.
However, ive yet to ever use the umbrella yet.
The whole purchase including shipping came out to be almost 120$. But guess i nvr got my moneys worth. Though the umbrella umbrella is super cool. I get bummed over the high price and no joy to the game.
Doom 3 is still sitting here and so is uncharted 3.
Might have to pop those in sometime.

Medal of Honor Warfighter and Oblivion come to mind. The reason for me never really playing Oblivion is I've seen so many Let's Plays and other videos of it there really isn't much for me to discover in it. Medal of Honor Warfighter just got swamped by me purchasing an influx of new games. I'll have to play it again soon as I did enjoy it.

Far Cry 3 and Battlefield 3. Granted, they are great games, but they never kept me hooked for a very long time. I played BF3 up to about level 31 and then stopped. Far Cry 3 was okay for a bit, but then I saw some pretty terrible looking lag and the incredibly small amount of people playing the game and I decided to stop playing it.

Both games are in no way bad, but they just couldn't hook me.
