I LOVE FALLOUT.
Theres only two things I care about..
Will it be laggy as hell or Will it freeze and mess up your system..
With the PS4 there should be NO EXCUSE for it to do any of the above, but this company has a running history with buggy day one games.
It'll probably be less buggy and laggy.
I can't wait! The Fallout games are my favorite games out of all games. Fallout 3 is my absolute favorite game of all time. My son has a bottle cap collection that we use as currency around the house. If he does all his chores he gets more bottle caps that can then be used to buy a new toy or candy. I hope that Fallout 4 is next gen only and takes full advantage of the next gen systems.
And while the website may be false, they did file a Fallout 4 trademark in Europe. So it is indeed happening.
Personally, I can't wait for it. I loved Fallout 3, while New Vegas left a bad taste in my mouth. So I'm sure Fallout 4 will be way better and bring some new innovations to the series.
I have been i <3 with Fallout since the games release in the 90's
Still have my original Fallout, 2 and BOS PC discs...
The site is obviously fake. The Survivor one is more interesting with its morse code and very obscure Fallout references. I am interested for sure. And there are hardly any real reasons why Zenimax would not release the game this way.
The common arguments against it
1. The website domain made through different company.
-Does not change anything. It would be bad for a teaser if everyone knew it was Zenimax
2. Why Dec 11 and not VGAs?
-Costs money and it does not need that kind of exposure to be successful
Bethesda has not released anything in over two years. The development time for most games is 2-3 years. Skyrim came out in 2011. Fallout 3 came out in 2008, I believe. That is a 3 year difference. If it came out next year, that would be 3 years.
And they would not be making an Elder Scrolls right now. It would overshadow Zenimax's Elder Scrolls MMO. And having too much of Elder Scrolls could cause a diminishing return where ever new game does not give the same sort of excitement because of a "been there, done that" feeling
Logically speaking, why would Bethesda bother creating a teaser website for a game that their fan base has been demanding for years? Their silence is the tease.
I don't doubt that Fallout 4 is coming, but I'll wait until I hear it from Bethesda.
