I try to buy things that are actually worth the money I spend regardless of the price. So if I buy a good computer for $500 and it drops to $300 next month it's not a problem. It was still worth the $500 I paid. If I ever need another I can get it for $300 now.
But if I bought a $500 computer for $2300 and then the price dropped to $500 like it should have been all along I would be upset. This is why I avoid buying things that are artificially inflated in price. My brother-in-law is constantly getting pressured into buying overpriced junk and has frequent buyer's remorse.
