Re: Do you keep your games?

I keep every single one of my games, i would not call myself a collector even it's just when i go to gamestop to trade it in and they say something like 10$ i'm like eh i'll just keep it maybe take it out now and then to relive the memories. Use to trade in my PS2 games when i got my PS3 never sold one game.

Sure, it feels nice now, but you're not saving any money. You're spending more.

Example:

Someone pays $60 for a 1 new game.

They trade it in for about $25. Now they have no game, but $25 in credit.

They use that credit towards 1 new $60 game, again, and only spend $35 out of pocket.

Now you have 1 game again for "cheap." Feels nice, right? But, in reality you just spent $95 dollars on that game.

It's the GameStop trap.

I rarely trade in games, almost never, unless it is something I truely end up disliking for one reason or another.

I just traded in a bunch of games. Got $220.

Exactly - I keep the good ones, chuck the bad ones.  Some of the good ones I have for multiple systems. Smiley Very Happy

I always just keep them for my collection better to see what I have played and beat and how many I have played not only that I feel like the trade in value sucks so I will never trade in my games

A little of both. Some I keep, some I get rid of. Really depends on the game, and if I want to play it again ever.
