I don't understand why prostitution is even illegal in the first place. Why does the government get to be the pimp and decide what people are allowed to do with their own body? Sex is legal. Selling sex is illegal... unless you videotape it and put it on the internet, then it's porn which is legal. How does that make sense? I'm a fan of freedom and not punishing people who aren't harming anyone else. Many people can't stop to think for two seconds and realize how absurd it is to punish people for this victimless crime. Do they deserve our scorn? Anybody who would scorn a prostitute should take a long hard look in the mirror. Prostitutes receive payment for providing a service... which is the premise of pretty much every job.
I was watching one of those documentaries on either HBO or Showtime (???) profiling prostitutes and their day to day business, and listening to their stories sort of tugged at my heart strings. A lot of them were abused as children and have some sort of undiagnosed mental illness. Many of them are destitute and indebted to some pimp. But strictly in terms of what they do, I find that their trade is quite admirable. They're sacrificing their bodies for the world's enjoyment in pursuit of the American dream.
I don't think prositution is a good or healthy occupation for any person. That being said a prostitute should not be scorned, I don't think that is the proper way to treat someone in that occupation.
prostitution can be both.. some picked it as a job of choice for easy money.. selling they bodies..
while there are those who are forced to do it against their will
for those victims of the pimps..
i would love to hancuffed those **bleep**.. and then just leave them there in a room with their victims
"he's all yours" "i'm going to take a coffee break.. listening to my music using a headset.... let me know when you are done with him.."
:/ if only i can do that... if only..
