Totally forgot about Mark and TWD. Agreed.

As well, two more:
-In Dead Space 2 when you have to stop Nicole from stabbing you in the eye. When I finished the QT event, I sat there like "Shoot. This is gonna be a messed up ride". And while on the topic of eyes, the needle to the eye at the end of the game made me squirm.

-It's been quite a while since I played it, but Silent Hill: Shattered Memories was thoroughly scary, end to end.

Yikes, gotta be careful about spolers.

Scariest games I've played are probably Demon's/Dark Souls. For example the prison level Tower of Latria is pretty creepy and my first time I played it 3 black phantoms invided my world in 3-1. Also, the heart pounding before entering a boss battle, wow. You can't drop your guard in these games because you never know what lurks behind the next corner.

I've yet to play RE1-3 and SH games but I will definitely check those up sometime. The creepy atmosphere makes a good horror game and that's why eg Dead Space isn't scary at all.

Yeah, I think most of these aren't too bad (they may spoil the scare for someone though) but it would be good to edit "spoilers" into the thread title and/or be careful when posting.  The Walking Dead thing mentioned seems like a big spoiler to me.

Done. Smiley Happy

Might be a good idea to use spoiler tags too, and possibly mention the name of the game before that, so people who haven't experienced the game yet, can avoid getting spoiled.

I give "Silent Hill" my grand prize, as far as games that creeped me out.. but some other moments in games that creeped me out.

* "Dead Space" Chapter 10. The "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" lullaby heard softly in the background.

The whole game was already creepy, but that gave me a much more unsettling feeling.

* This is not exactly "creepy." More "oh no, I just crapped my pants." (Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem)

* The opening scene of "Dead Space 2."

Nothing is more freakier than being locked in your own room, and then looking out of your peephole to see YOU on the other side, all busted up:

I’m going to add an entry that isn’t from a survival horror video game:

Silent Hill 4: The Room had some really great moments. Some of them have been posted in this thread already (e.g., the peephole haunting). Part of me wants to play Silent Hill 4: The Room right now after reading through this thread. In my honest opinion, it's a great survival horror video game.
