That's fast enough to break the sound barrier at sea level, but he wasn't going that fast at sea level. Did he ever break the sound barrier at whatever altitude he was at?
Did he ever experience a sonic boom?
My friend was telling me that when they recalculated it... He went something in the 800's MPH (Not sure if its fact)
Isnt the speed of sound something like 750....

As for the free fall previous record was at 4:36.
He deployed his shoot at 4:19, Maybe if he slowed down more he would have him a record for freefall.
But he did nail his altitude mark!
