Geez I don't know a whole week (approx)? If even then, with the whole feedback and avatar sub committee hearings they have planned? It's like they don't trust us. That's no way to foster community. It's not like the original system was broken or these ones will be replacing our avatars on psn, or wait will they?

Why would they trust a supposed 90 million users they don't know personally which is bound to have a high percentage of bad?

First, it's not the same as posting images in a thread like so:

T7ypB.png

That's plainly visible in the message listing to moderators. On the other hand, a user could register and just barely attain whatever ranking will permit avatars, and then go inactive with a pornographic avatar now only visible in their profile(that moderators can't see since they don't go inspecting profiles) which will be crawled by search engines with a "community.us.playstation.com" URL attached.

Obviously they don't want that. However, I will say it's semi-redundant since we can have signatures without approval, but that's a bit different since they aren't hosted here which is why it wouldn't be a major legal issue.

Well I just had the two images I put up for approval last night get approved, so it takes hardly any time. Though I don't see under "Image Options" "Use image as avatar", so I take it they still haven't turned that on?

Oh well, I can deal with my PSN avatar for a little longer.

On a side-note, we need the "Accept as solution" button to not be so close to quick reply.Smiley Tongue

I was wondering why you chose a weird solution that's not really a solution. As long as I keep my sig I don't mind not having custom avatars.

In the old forums, you can change your avatar and see where they're from. I just wanted to see where the new avatars were from. u.u
