Can you survive, if you really had to?

I know some stuff. I think Survivor Man, is the best, he explains in detail and will so very cold climates and alone, after all the studies.

By no means am I prepared to survive with my bare hands in the wilderness, but that scenario unfolding is pretty unlikely.  I do think everyone should be prepared for a fairly likely SHTF situation like an EMP.  Keep enough food, water, medicine, and ammo to last for a few months, just in case.  If that happens, yes I think I could survive.

It depends. Do you mean "survive high school" or "survive in the wild"?

I can survive in the wild, hopefully.

Depends on how long I guess? I like going camping and being outdoors. On the other hand I am really used to cushy modern life. I'm going with no at this stage of my life Smiley Wink

Food, water, medecine and ammo? ... Drink your own pee, problem solved.

Seriously, there's nothing wrong with been prepared for the worst, it always happen

when you least expect just like the '98 ice storm or Katrina. Guns are not a necessity but

could definitely come handy if it come to a point when you have to hunt to survive (if you

can't afford or owned a rifle a cheap/$300 crossbow is a great alternative and easy to use

and maintain). Having a SHTF bag might sound paranoid for some but personally since

the '98 ice storm i have one, better be prepared then sorry.

My SHTF backpack (next to my crossbow) consist of:

- Fire Stick + coated wood match & compass

- Dry and canned food good for at least two years

- Emergency med-kit W/thermal blanket

- Crank flashlight & emergency crank radio

- Hunting knife & Gerber machete w/sawblade on top

- Arrows/bolts for the crossbow

* No water since it's not an issue where i live.
