So the question is... why are you buying it? I'm not.

We buy water bottles in bulk. It's nice to have when we're on the go mostly. I know are tap water was a different color from the town we moved from which is the town over now (the color of the water and taste). Though, when we go shopping we only get the bulk water bottles from Walmart. It's really cheap actually. 24 bottles for 3$.

But hey, don't forget what happens to our waste. That's even more scarier.

I don't use bottled water as I have always felt that it was a scam. I have my own water bottle and fill it up with water from the faucet. The faucet water is better in my opinion, while bottled water leaves me thirsting for more.

I also hate having to find a trash can or recycling bin each time I'm done with a bottle. I feel that it's waste of money and time.

I drink tap or bottled, doesn't matter to me, water is water. I don't recycle because its not going to make a difference whether I do or not.

Honestly I have a spring so, I drink from the faucet most of the time, but always have a bulk case of bottle water in my car and bottled water at home for friends. I couldn't pay my family to drink from anything other than glass as their health inspired. So I'm semi guilty of the bottle water scam.

Re: Bottled Water

lol, you should try the tap water around here. You might actually find bottled water to be worth the investment. The tap here is bad enough that about every other year the city distributes letters to all of the houses, warning that prolonged exposure to the many carcinogens in the water (even after treatment) can cause cancer. To make matters even more fun I have friends that are mildly allergic to chlorine, and drinking the heavily chlorinated tap water that we have here will actually make them sick. This is why myself and everyone that I know in this town either buy bottled, buy home filters, or save our milk jugs to drive half an hour to a near by spring.

I drink from the tap.... a line going into my fridge which goes through a three-pass filter. Best tasting water ever.

Re: Bottled Water

We purchase bottled water, we buy it in bulk from Costco or other retailers, it's certainly very cheap & we always recycle the bottles through the recycling program we have here, each house has a blue & yellow bin.

I agree too that our refrigerator water also tastes good, it's filtered about 2/3 times & so long as the filter is replaced it;s good water.

I've always wondered about a 'bottled water scam', millions of dollars are made by the companies producing this stuff, but all they're doing is supplying the demand.

I don't see a difference between Tap and Bottled water.  I drink both, even though I think the Tap taste slightly better to me where I live, heck the bottled is still ok though, its convenient to have when I'm traveling!
