Blu-Yay

Okay, time to make a Sony positive thread. I can't be 100% troll can I?

I was at Best Buy with my Dad buying a DVD for a Christmas Present for my Mom and we wandered over to the HDTV.

I spotted a Sony Bravia HDTV 40 inch 1080p TV. I walked over and seen a Blu-Ray player! We pressed the 'play' button and a demo of movie's played.

What I can say is: beautiful. It looked amazing. The movies looked great. Very good. We watched the movie trailers for 5 minutes in awe before we walked off.

All I can say is that it was truly great. Great technology.
I have a feeling that demo set-up might be a way to get people to buy a PS3 and a Sony HDTV with it.

Also, there was an Sxbox 360 on a Samsung 1080p TV. It actually didn't look too good. It was some racing game...it honestly did not look good. Maybe they had it hooked up with composite cables or something instead of VGA cords.

So what I  can say is:

Blu-Ray is amazing on a 1080p 40 inch HDTV.
I fear this technology might be coming too soon though...maybe Sony should have waited for it to be cheaper and for more people to have HDTV's before they released the Blu-Ray player.

So what's the verdict? Blu-Nay or Blu-Yay?

I say Blu-Yay!

Japan is currently developing an alternative for around the same price of a DVD and DVD player, therefore, you should wait.

thats the funniest comeback ever

I can afford it but why buy a blue ray player that is more expensive than the PS3 when you can just buy the PS3
