I thought I'd finally mention that I did in fact receive my new laptop!  AND I LOVE IT!  I'm addicted.  HP definitely makes fantastic laptops nowadays with not so high price points.  I'm thoroughly impressed!  Everyone be jealous.  Smiley Tongue

Great news, glad you're happy.

I've had my MacBook for around 8 years or so now & it's still going strong (touch wood), we have an HP too, a 24" touch screen HP Computer, one of those all in one thingy's, got it last year & love it, definitely an HP fan too, also last week we got an iPad 3, just because, well actually the iPad 3 is mine my wife has a Kindle Fire lol, anyway good news on your new Hp.

I would like to get an HP laptop, Staples and Office Depot had them on sale for $300 earlier in the year. Just wasn't able to get one though. I think the only other brand of laptop I would buy is Toshiba, their laptops seem to be of good quality. Congrats on your new HP laptop. Smiley Happy

Really, how bad? I don't want to end up with a horrible laptop and horrendous customer service should something go wrong with it.

Never bought them, but I only heard bad things about Toshiba. Quality brands would be Asus, Lenovo, HP (heard bad and good things). I guess Dell would be good too. I dunno about Sony, I would assume they're good.

I'll keep that in mind when shopping for new laptop, I've heard mixed reviews on HP laptops as well. I think Dell and Sony are good but the base prices on their laptops seems a bit pricy. I've become interested in Lenovo lately and I don't think I have taken a look at anything by Asus. I don't think I am willing to spend more than $350-$400 plus tax (and maybe shipping) for a new laptop with the core features I want.
