Re: Apple iPhone 5, do you want one?

Sep 15, 2012

I currently have my white iPhone 4 16gb - with Verizon. This new model doesn't really say anything to me to actually go out and buy it. Since Verizon screwed over people who signed up awhile ago with their unlimted data plans, I won't use my "upgrade" option, but I'm used to buying phones at retail price since I always have. Trust me, I love Apple (Been through iPods, and also have a iMac) but the new hardware doesn't catch my eyes much. I really hate how they put a new dock connector and thus have to buy a new adaptor, there does my new mophie case I just bought LOL. Also, don't like how the 3.5 headphone jack is on the bottom now (yes, I know it moved to the bottom due to room) but still! Long story short, I will wait till my iPhone 4 just dies on me. I've had it for about a year and a half and it's still running good. And no scratches Smiley Very Happy I will also keep sportin' iOS5.1.

I think the bigger screen and LTE is going to kill the battery. The battery time they show are for the phone in 3g at best. I'll stick with my RAZR Maxx.

I want the iPhone 5! I have an iPhone 4, but the iPhone 5 seems more revolutionary, with 4G, faster processing, 8MP camera, and iOS 6 Smiley Surprised Sadly, my contract ends in May; I also have the Verizon plan with unlimited data, and I am very reluctant to give that up Smiley Sad

I think eventually I'll buy the iPhone 5 outright for $450 Smiley Wink

I truly respect your opinion, but I think Android is WAY better. I'm getting a Samsung Galaxy S3!!!

Good choice Naibaf, the SGS3 is actually rated higher that the iPhone by Consumer Reports, it's a VERY good phone indeed.

I ordered it like 2 weeks before and it should be here...soon...I think. Man it takes so long. That thing is sold like 1000 times a minute or so. Lol. And yea, I am a hardcore Apple fanboy. Had the iPhone 4, the iPhone 4s, iPad, iPad 2, iPod Touch 3, iPod Touch 4...lol

I've had my iPhone 5 for about a week or two now, and absolutely love it. Then again, I upgraded from a 3gs so the jump was substantial.
