Hi everyone, people post all about if their a girl or guy gamers. BUT, I'm wondering if there are still some disabled people who still game as I am and I still love to game?

I'm not disabled but this got me wondering about a disabled gamer who once was active in the community [before Jive] Perhaps other community vets might remember him.
He made his disability known to the community in a thread he made about the extend and amount of work some of his friend went through to heavily modify/built a custom to his needs PS2 controller. This was a tremendous achievement by his friends & an abundance of joy for him. This is one of those moments that has shown me that there is much more to this community than meets the eye. Where ever this person is today, I wish him plenty of health & much joy.
I'm 30% deaf in my left ear (self inflicted, between being in the Marines 5 years, and playing drums for over 20).
I know that doesn't count, where I am concerned, as I do not have to make any special accommodations to game. I just want to show anyone that does that they are welcome, and that the rest of us do not consider ourselves superior in any way.
Having a physical or mental condition that limits movements, senses, or activities.
I had to have my left leg amputated above the knee when I was 14, (I was in a farming accident), I have severe astigmatism. And I'm 57 years old. Does that count?
I also had to amputate my foot due to it getting some sort of infection and because we had no money at the time to help it. I was going to die so I sliced off my foot in desperation to save myself. It worked but I had lots of bad things happen to me like. Not being able to do martial arts, need more money from my already poor familly. So then I needed a job desperately. So I had lots of money and I moved to the U.K.
Then the best thing ever happened. I took a chance at trying to open my own buisness and it worked so now I had alot of money to help familly and myself, met my wife and got a titanium foot so I can do martial arts again! But I trained myself to still fight without it.
Wow, proof reading this makes it sound like I'm joking. I'm not funny as that sounds.
