I'm pretty glad no one involved was hurt, and I'm also glad the 19-year-old suspect dropped his weapons and surrendered peacefully.

Chances are the 19 year old was badly bullied at school. I remember my school days, I really would have gunned people down given the chance. But I was unstable back then. VERY unstable.

But yeah, good think no kids been shot. As much as I hate kids they don't deserve to be shot. Most of them anyway.

I hate school shootings for various reasons.

First, I hate the deaths/injuries because they were uncalled for. (Opinions may vary here).

But what I hate more is the political BS that soon follows suit, where politicians and other groups take the following panic environment and use it as leverage to attempt to pass gun control laws and/or other things capitalizing on the disaster.

Why do you hate kids?

Was this the guy who walked in the school with an assault rifle and told the secretary to call the cops? Thank goodness nobody was killed but it seems very strange that he would do this. Perhaps he was trying to send a message about the gun laws in the US?

It looks like this young man wanted to have a shootout with police and he knew if he brought the gun into a school the police would show up for him to shoot at.    http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/news/regions/americas/united-states/130820/georgia-school-shootin...

He said he was going to rampage until the police stopped him also saying

that he knew he was going to die this day.

I believe mental problems played a role but I am not sure.
