No, you actually said 9*3=25, and that plus 2=30


If you reread his post, he says that 9*3 =( 25 +2 )= 27

ok so they all paid 30 : 10+10+10=30 now the the cashier guy sends back 5 dollars so the clerk now has 25 : 30-5=25 now the bellboy only gives back three so really they have paid 27: 25+2=27 now we add the 3 that they got back and we get 30: 27+3= 30 fairly easy
