13 year old asked for ID for FIFA

What do you think of this? I personally find this stupid. If a kid gets asked for his ID for a freaking sports game and I can get GTA without being asked, then something's wrong.

And before you lot go "Only in the UK", it's happened in other places, it just didn't pop up on the news, that's all.

different video game retailers have different policies on underage sales of Games rated for older audiences.

When in doubt ask yourself;" What would Daryl Dixon do?"

I really didn't think this was allowed. I figured games were the same as movies in that the only thing you could get carded for was R or M and any ratings below that are purely judgment of a parent.

You obviously don't understand that although the rating seems like it's for children, this GIF disagrees otherwise:

I think that if the rules/law says you should be ID'd then you should have to present an ID..........

It's a freaking Soccer game. Not GTA, not MK, not God of War, freaking Soccer.

Come on now...

I see the problem, but as a Cashier myself, I'd say sales of any item that has any age restriction (Be it to anyone under 18, 14, or in this case, 3 years of age) is at the discretion of the cashier at checkout.

I know I've denied sales of Tobacco and Alcohol to persons that looked like they could have been over 18 and 21 (Respecively), but did not otherwise have proper ID at the time of checkout.

in other words, if a cashier wants to be a jerk at checkout and ID for an "E" Rated game, that's their perogative. I, personally, wouldn't have asked for ID. Then again, I don't know the policies for that particular store.

When in doubt ask yourself;" What would Daryl Dixon do?"

Again, I dont think you can check ID. Like movies its the discretion of the parent, not the cashier. What 13 year old has an ID on them? Seriously?
