Ahhh that's what I'm saying. They framed the story so similarly to 2 so in juxtaposition you can see that the small things that are different are actually drasticallly large different things (Nate/Elena's relationship for example). The real story of who a pulp action hero is and what creates and drives him is framed within the same formula that both U1 and U2 went with (trying to find a lost city).
and thats another thing i dont like to much stuff happening behind the scenes. i didnt feel for drake like i should have. him and elena got married out of no where divorced out of no where. you dont get that feeling of cool the hero got the girl again. because you never really see him get her. besides that flirty crap in UC2.

The end of 2 definitley lead you to believe Nate and Elena were getting together--however, they split after 1 and again after 2.
Uncharted 2 was supposed to be a grandiose romantic old fashioned adventure story--and it was a masterpiece. Uncharted 3 de-romanticizes the life of the pulp hero by showing how much he drags the ones he loves through and how he pushes them away. You learn that Nate, like all pulp-heroes, is really just a boy obsessed with the run-and-gun adventure life all kids fantasized about except he refused to grow up. It makes him a little less likeable, more complicated of a character, but overall his character gains so much depth and dimmension in the end (much more than the vast majority of characters in video games).
They are both masterpieces. They are both different types of stories. In my opinion, for what U3 strived for and accomplished, it edges out U2 (again, in my opinion).
But hey, this isn't the Uncharted forums. ![]()

If you already have the file, you can use imgur.com to upload & host it (you can also copy the image url and upload it that way). From there, copy the link that is titled:
HTML Image (websites & blogs)
Copy & paste that link in the Signatures section in My Settings located in the top right-hand corner.
