My sister and I got a Sega Genesis for Christmas and got Mortal Kombat,  ever since I have loved video games.

I was 5,  went downstairs one day saw the PS1 and just started playing. First game ever was Spyro. didn't know what the heck I was doing till I started jumping around burning everything chasing crazy little blue people, it was fun. Learned how to play making sure my fingers were always in the right spot. Learned how to do it all while playing Spyro. Then I realized their were other games like Crash and that just kinda started me off. Spyro will always be my idol, The original Insomniac Spyro, not the crazy looking thing they made him into now.

I was an 80s baby.  My family's first console was the Sega Master System.  I grew up playing toys and watching cartoons so gaming to me was like having the best of both worlds.  So it was natural for me to be into video games lol.  I just loved playing in the arcades back in the days.  The younger people here are probably like "what's an arcade?!" lol.  I was in love with the PS1 when I first played a game on it.  It was like the closest thing to arcade quality back in the day.

I was born in 85, so I guess Im considered a mid-80's baby lol? But yeah the arcades were so awesome, we had this sweet one at the mall, it was the main hangout spot for everyone.

One day when I was little, I was confused and couldn't find where my dad was. I asked my mom and she told me he was downstairs. I went downstairs and found him playing Mario on the SNES. He showed me the ropes and we passed the afternoon laughing and stomping turtles.

I was a kid in the 80s (born during Reagan's first term) so of course I grew up playing the original Nintendo (NES) and was hooked. Then SNES, Genesis, N64, PC, Dreamcast, GC, XBOX & now PS3.

Wow going way back; playing in the Arcade back in the day; Centipede, PACMAN, Donkey Kong, then graduated to Atari, Nintendo, Sega and Finally Sony all the way.
