Back To The Future I, II, & III

Good choice of trilogy!

My recent favorite: 300

All-time: The Wizard of Oz.  It works on so many levels.  It's held up and remained enjoyable for the most people longer than any other movie (1939).  It's doubly amazing when you watch the movie while listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album.  It then becomes truly magical.

It is only too bad that the Dark SIde ends before the movie does.  Good choice though.

Re: Favorite Movie of All Time.

My beefs with the BTF series:

The timing of the releases for 2 & 3 with comparison to 1.  A lot changed in 4 years, it was interesting to note the differences between 1989 and 1985.

Additionally, The Old West?  Why the old west as the third and final, got kinda lame.  Almost like they ran out of ideas and just felt like making money.  Every series sounds better as a trilogy, when you are trying to market it, as opposed to a two movie bundle.

Lastly, with regards to the flying skateboards, the date Marty and Doc went to in the future was....

They were already here... :smileysad:

No flying cars, floating skateboards, Max headrom soda fountain servers, inside out jeans, self tying shoes.... I could go on.

It always amuses me when the future is either depicted as completely decimated, or totally fantastic.  Movies never just have the future as the same with subtle differences.  Remember Free Jack?  (Horrible, I know).  The future in that movie was in 2009.  Nothing like 2009, although the movie came out in 1992.  Finally, remember Running Man (Hello Cutie Pie), Future date...2019.  WIll it come to pass, or will 2019 just look like 2012, only with the next rendition of the I Phone (Oooh, get in line NOW).

Re: Favorite Movie of All Time.

I thought they went to the year 2015?!? Anyways The Back to the Future will always be a classic. Marty Mcfly is too bad a$$..

Top Ten favorite movies

10) Fifth Element (classic)

9) Batman Begins (Great batman origin story. Takes batman to a realistic and respectable view)

8)Evil Dead 2 (need I say more)

7) Casino (really good crime film)

6) Jurassic Park ( special effects still look good to this date and Dinosaurs are underrated)

5) Spiderman 2 (great superhero themes)

4) Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (truly epic )

3) Toy Story (one of the best animated films)

2)The Matrix (the sequels are terrible BTW)

1) The Dark Knight (who ever wrote the screenplay/ story deserves a noble peace prize)

Absolutely!  That goes down with:

Remo Williams; The Adventure Begins

funny, it never continued though, great movie

On the Jeff Goldblum angle, how about:

Mr.. Frost

or the timeless VIBES.  Cindy Lauper is a horrible actor, but the movie was entertaining.

Keep them coming

Re: Favorite Movie of All Time.

I know what is not my most favorite movie and that is the japanese flick Sexy Battle girls i stumbled across in the video unlimited store. 1.99 to own an instant classic and by instant classic I mean a steaming pile of low budget bizarreness that could only be made in japan.
