Those numbers seem too low too me on some areas -- but I think your general price is right - perhaps. What really depends this time around is if they implement any new costly technology. The last time the PS3 was so much was because of the Blu-ray drive. This time, if they don't use crazy tech -- the price could be lower and they may actually make profit out the door this time. However, that said -- you are talking just the console. The controller needs to be manufactured as well. Plus -- you need to consider overhead and R&D to start seeing ROI.

I wouldn't hold my breathe to that. I mean -- it could be possible that a version of the system has it (the high end -- probably putting it in PS3 launch date prices) -- but the base models probably won't. I would also guess that allowing consumers to update the HDD is something they would still allow -- so there is automatic savings there for most people anyway.

It's cheaper than pc and super and BEYOND. I'm camping and someone somewhere in USA will get hurt from the excitement.
