Interviews and Previews,
A demo has been confirmed from Team Ninja to be coming April 27th on the Japanese PS Store. It will feature a special level that won't be included in the final game.,
Tecmo's PS3 update to the original Ninja Gaiden isn't due out in America and Japan until June, but those wanting a sneak peak will have to wait less than a month. In the latest issue of Japan's Famitsu Weekly, Ninja Gaiden Sigma director Yosuke Hayashi revealed plans to make a playable demo of the game available on the PlayStation Network starting 4/27. The demo will include one specially created chapter that won't be in the final version and will allow players to use a large number of weapons from the start.
The big question is, of course, will owners of PS3s outside of Japan be able to get quick access to the demo through the US and European PlayStation Stores? While Tecmo hasn't made an official announcement, Hayashi did reveal that the demo will include an online score rank mode that will allow players from throughout the world show off their ninja skills. Sounds like PS3 owners everywhere have something to look forward to late next month. - IGN

Ninja Gaiden is looking to cash in even harder, with the GameStop exclusive Ninja Gaiden Sigma Collectors Edition for the PS3. For a cool seventy bucks American, you can score not only the game, but all this questionably worth it stuff!,
This Collectors Edition will be a 2-disc set with special hi-res packaging, a behind the scenes DVD from Team Ninja, and special codes to unlock Ryu and Rachael mission modes. - Kotaku,
Ninja Gaiden Sigma Demo Released!,
Talk about stealthy! Like a ninja, it crept right behind us when we were expecting it to come later on, and it slapped our butts and called us wusses. We're talking about the Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and it's here a day early.
The game's apparently out to surprise even quick-witted fellows like us. We were expecting the demo of the game to come on the 27th. Instead, an article on PS3 Center says that it's out now, and we're excited to know it's there.
The game sports 1080p graphics running at 60 fps. In addition, you'll be able to unlock new weapons and additional content, all on one demo. - QJ.net

Nice thread indeed. Ever thought of looking up details of the original Ninja Gaiden (Xbox version) and using some of that to flesh out this a tad more? Or will Sigma be vastly different to the original?
Either way, my plan of buying the original for my Xbox 360 so I can get used to the basics has gone down the drain as I'm now trading in my 360 for a PS3. Hopefully in time for the Sigma demo.
Right now, I'm really looking forward to Ninja Gaiden Sigma. It, along with Devil May Cry 4, will be my favorite titles this year, I can feel it!
Additionally, the demo (JPN) has been released a day early:
