First Post!

Listen to this man, free advice is gold. Not only will this help me when I attempt Master Ninja, he also talked me through my first playthrough of Ninja Gaiden II. Mmmig for president!

And you, my friend, will help me finish Halo 3!

I second Bitsurugi's thanks. Your tips have been extremely helpful... I hope to be able to join the Master Ninja club soon.

You'll get there, hiromano!  You doubted yourself during Path of the Mentor and you made it through.  I was highly doubtful if I would get past Chapter 5 a week or so ago.  With equal parts determination, perseverance, and practice, Path of the Master Ninja is beatable.

Speaking of perseverance, one of the guys on my friend list invited me to take on Ultimate Ninja mission 4 (you fight 2 Biometal Ryu clones --- which I had previously beaten a couple of times).  We blazed through it in just a little over 1 minute.  He says to me, "lol, I thought that'd be tougher."  So I say to him, "Wait until the next one."  I was, of course, referring to Ultimate Ninja mission 5 where you take on 3 Biometal Ryu clones (Talons, Dragon Sword, and dual katanas) --- but wait --- if you last long enough to beat them, 2 more Biometal Ryu clones arrive equipped with Eclipse Scythes!  Talk about overkill .

Just before he asked me to join him, another random (who then added me to his list) and I were taking on that same mission (Ultimate Ninja mission 5).  We must have seen "Game Over" at least 30 times.  Anyway, the buddy who scoffed at Ultimate Ninja mission 4 was eating his words on Ultimate Ninja mission 5 --- but, after 3 tries, we beat it!  It was 75% to 25% in favor of me though .  Lunar Staff Izuna Drops FTW!!!!  The only depressing thing is that (as of last night) we were ranked 520th out of 524 for Ultimate Ninja mission 5 .

You know I'm always up for some Halo, which I still need some of the skulls.

I'd sure love to be a regular here. I just like posting about games and what not, and on the Games discussion its everything but.

Re: Path of the Master Ninja - My First Impressions

Okay, was planning on taking a break and playing something else like U2 or Demon's Souls, but I'm still playing NGS2!! ARGH!  Right now I'm playing through the Chapter missions.  Thing I don't like is this is basically making you finish the game 4 more times!  =.=  I'm trying to do MN all over again on Chapter Missions.   The Chapter Missions do make the stages a little more challenging because you can't really max out on health items as the skull discount does not apply and you start with 0 essense at the beginning of each stage.  It just forces you to be more patient  with everything. So far I've beat 1, 2, 3, 17.  I wish Tecmo didn't rehash the game like this, but oh well.  I'd like to have those trophies, but I'm not sure I can survive another 4 playthroughs of this game or all of MN again before I get bored and have to take a break.

Right now my list of unplayed games is growing:

Batman: AA

Uncharted 2

Demon's Souls

Tomorrow will be adding Borderlands to that list.

This Q3/Q4 has been nuts!

Re: Path of the Master Ninja - My First Impressions

Heh, I know how you feel, DarkSerenity .

I haven't played anything but Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the last 3 weeks (as per the clock in the Options Menu, I have about 145 hours).  I bought Uncharted 2 on day one --- still have not played it.  I picked up my copy of MagnaCarta 2 today and I doubt if I'll even start it :smileytongue:.  And yes, I too, am getting Borderlands tomorrow.

I got the Silver Trophies for mastering the Path of the Acolyte and Path of the Warrior.  I have roughly 6 more chapters to go before I get Mastered the Path of the Mentor trophy.  The two trophies that are going to be very difficult are Mastered the Path of the Master Ninja and All Missions Complete.

I have done the opposite of what you have been doing. Since I got Uncharted 2, I haven't even touch NGS2. I'm still playing through mentor. Hope to get back to Sigma 2 ASAP.

Re: Path of the Master Ninja - My First Impressions

Hehe.. I haven't checked my hours yet, but I'm sure it's a lot. Probably not as much as you since I haven't touched Team Missions at all yet and just started doing the Chapter Missions last night. Just now I finished Momiji's and Ayane's MN levels. And this time it was so easy because we all know what to do and how to beat the levels. Only died like a couple times from normal enemies due to sad reverse wind skills. :smileytongue: But it was a breeze going through those 2 stages. Next I'll do Rachael's and after that everything else shouldn't be too bad. I wanted to get the worst out of the way first. That way I can take it super easy when I do the rest of the Chapter Missions. Thing about the other games is that I know once I start playing them I might not go back to NGS2 for awhile. That's why I want to play this till I am really bored. hehe.

Re: Path of the Master Ninja - My First Impressions

Thanks for the encouragement.  Once I get through Uncharted 2, I'll get back to NGS2.  Hopefully I didn't make a mistake taking a break and end up getting rusty.
