Saw this on GameInformer's site today. While the DLC isn't very much, just a familiar, it is free and a nice touch in my opinion.
The PlayStation 3-exclusive Ni No Kuni came out last week, and if you've been loving the game (or even if you haven't), you should check out the PlayStation Store on February 12 for a surprise.
Publisher Namco Bandai has revealed that players can download the Draggle familiar, which was previously unavailable in North America, free of charge. Considering how most publishers try to milk every cent out of post-release content, this is a welcome bit of generosity.

True but for those who have yet to pick up the game, or reach the post game content, it's probably not a bad familiar.
the gold version isnt even that great. 
pretty neat though regardless. not many games out there that offer free DLC.
I probably haven't put as much time into the game yet (currently at around the 26-hour marker). Actually, I didn't even realize that Ni no Kuni would be such a game to carry DLC. And in truth, the DLC shop is an extremely rare visit in my travels. I'll check out the DLC folder tomorrow though as long as it's free. Thanks for the heads-up, Papa.

this is where i read it. I thought it was for NA but it's for eu only.
