My friend and I just got the game today and they keeps experiencing freezing issue with the game. Within 2  hours, the game froze 4 times. I message @NeedForSpeed on Twitter and EA live chat support. But as it turns out I'm the first person to report this issue and therefore the only troubleshooting they could provide is uninstalling the game data utility and re-installing / updating the game.

My friends has MANY games, including Borderlands 2, and none of them have done this before. If anyone else is experiencing any problems, please post here fo we can try and figure this out.

 On a side note, where is the official Need For Speed forums ran by EA? I couldn't find them.

I had the same frustrating experience. I did download the game. However, when downloading Deus Ex over the weekend, the system froze mid download. My only option was a hard restart. It took the usual hour + download time, but upon installing, it said the file was corrupted. I had to delete the download and start again. This game did not start with audio and did not allow me to proceed to the main menu of the game. Then, when the I Am Alive demo finally downloaded and started with a cutscene, it froze as well. Then today, NFS froze on the initial loading screen three times in a row. Hard restart. Warning of corrupted data. I hope I don't have this same experience with AC3 when it arrives.

I have the physical copy of the game and have some issues but it doesnt completely freeze, going to email EA and see if they have any word on this. Will reply if I hear anything.

I have disc copy also and it seems the city doesn't want to load I paused it then unpaused it then it started working again but it has happened many times since i have 320gb slim

Same problem here.

I had the game on Playstation but it froze on me TWICE in the same hour.

Took the game back out of aggrivation.

I believe the game in general has a few unfixed bugs in general. I have experienced a few hic-ups both online and off. Not to mention the Autolog servers are really unstable. All we can do at this point is be a little patient and I am sure a patch will come soon.

I'm still having probs with freezing if i join in the middle of a speedlist. Once its finished, i have to do a manual restart on the console. Really aggrivating getting all ya friends back in your room just to try and find another room.

Any word on this yet?
