First off I want to say The Last of us was a great game and I think it is one of the few video games I've ever seen that I would ever call "literary." However I read an article in the New York Times (I'm not linking it cause I don't want to derail this topic) that criticized the handling of your female characters. Personally I don't agree with a lot of what the article said but I pondered it and rather than continuing the depressing and true(albeit necessary conversation) of the lack of female protagonist in video games I think I've come up with a good way to resolve the issue.
Please make a game starring a female character. I know you are a studio that can do great female characters(you've just done so with The Last of Us) and I think the first step to solving this problem of under representation is by making more female protagonists. There is an audience and I think they would flock to you if you did this.
Is this something anyone else here would support? Does anyone here really care if the character is a woman if the game is being done by Naughty Dog?
