I was but, there were several different endings originally planned by ridley scott. The one they picked I thinked worked best because of hannibals sacrifice.I try to thnk of how I wanted to change the ending and I just could not think of anything better myself so, I guess that will have to do.

When I bought the DVD I was hoping that the "alternate" ending they mentioned on the case was in fact the ending from the book. All it turned out to be was a variation of the ending that made it into the movie.

But I did enjoy Ridley Scott's commentaries, he's one of my favorite directors. I do wish he had left in the "El Mostro" sub-plot, though.

But if I had my way, most movies would be about 4 hours long.
