It's going to suck, but you're going to have to get either a splitter or switchbox (unless your TV has multiple inputs -- check, lots do now). You can't, as you probably know, record DVD movies on a tape because of copyright issues and copy protection on the DVDs, but the screwy thing is that the copy protection scheme the DVD consortum used makes your movies scramble if you try at all to wire your PS2 (or any other DVD player) through a VCR. So, what you want to do is plug the PS2 directly to the TV through either a second input or through a switch-box. Then patch your cable or sattelite or whatever input you have into the VCR, and wire the VCR into the TV throught that alternate input or through that splitter. It's none too hard, but the DVD people really made a mess of things with the copy protection they went with.
