Guess what I'm playing guys MV!!! luckily I just picked up a copy for 5 bucks at the mall I lost my old copy of it :/... now I got the best game ever for 5 bucks . And idk why you don't like arctic edge DeadShroud, because it's for psp its pretty much going to be worse than the ps3 MotorStorms. I thought it was good, and better than apocalypse. The order for games in terms of how i like them is, Monument Valley>Pacific Rift>Arctic Edge>Apocalypse... they just keep getting worse........
I Agree with you only because i miss 2007 and whenever i play the 1st Motorstorm it reminds me of that year. I was 13 back then and now i'm 17 so the game always brings back warm memories and feelings from that time. I don't necessarily think Pacific Rift and Apocalypse are worse than the original Motostorm i just think the original seems better because it's a lot more meaningful.
MSMV was a game brought a new gameplay to the virtual racing stuff. But for me MSPR is the best Motorstorm ever. Can't really tell why but that feeling you get on MV I got in PR for a long time. No I'm playing MSA but it's not that good as it should. What would be a really nice Motorstorm is one with the game play of PR and the winter style of Arctic (PSP). But keep cool then I think the team behind Motorstorm already know that Apocalypse is a step in the wrong direction and will come back to the previous versions with the next MS.
In my honest opinion, MSMV was, and always will be, my favorite game because of its terrain deformation, realistic crashes and damages from vehicles, awesome graphics and the vehicles. The only drawbacks from the game have is that you cannot create the races offline (despite it having Wreckreation featured), lack of custom soundtracks, exporting the screenshot to XMB and more skin livery options from opponent AI vehicles. Other than that, it's always beena great game for me (even though I don't play online very often nowadays). MS: A may be a good game, most likely because of its customization option, but the drawbacks that dissapoint me are he less realistic crashes, no terrain deformation and no gravel, sand, dirt or mud splattering onto your vehicles or your driver, which is, to me, the least favorite game (I still like the online and the customization feature, though).
Monument Valley will remain the best because it brought so many people together for the first time on the PS3 and we were more forgiving regarding failures that the developer had made since it was the first in the series.
Pacific Rift was great, but they failed to learn from the problems that were faced in the first incarnation.
Apocalypse jumped the shark and people were more disappointed that the problems from the original game still plagued the series.
Now, they've jumped the shark in yet another direction and are bringing us RC Cars.
I can't wait until a release of MotorStorm doesn't have cars of any sort, but is about an engine that creates inclement weather. Maybe then the title will fit the series for being a tumultuous pile of crap being thrown around in circles.
Yes, the original was the best.
