I love this game, and I love all the people who play it. Had some fantastic races this afternoon with blammy, that was awesome, thanks mate
I got into the game about a year ago, started playing online straight away in Ranked. Learned all the possible glitches just because everyone did them. My dearest friend Jerony told me not to glitch because the top guys never do it, and that was when I stopped. Yet I've glitched more than I like to admit.
Around Christmas I started doing TA. We had some epic TA-battles with Jerony, hanging on the phone and describing our runs to each other. One of my favourite quotes when I look back is when we were both doing beachcomber bike:
Dani "OMG 1:18 "
Jerony: " 1:15 '
Dani: ' HOW? '
Around january and february I was decent enough to get into some custom rooms, where I met RICHARD_LAYMON and bolkiebasher. Both amazing people, great fun to race with. RICHARD was my ticket into some bigger rooms, where I met people who were only TA-ghosts until then.
Along the way I met people like Cirrus, BlackWolves and willywayne, smrtb0mb, Lewis_Hamilton_ and other greats who have never been selfish when it came to sharing info. Thanks guys for that
In the summer holidays I came back to TA and got myself 7th on All Summed. MSPR has one problem: Don't stop till you reach the top doesn't apply when it comes to this game. You always keep expanding your boundries. and you never get enough.
Today, I didn't get enough either. But I've had enough of not getting enough, enough is enough. So today I say goodbye to Motorstorm Pacific Rift. Goodbye guys!

Dani, I'm sorry, you won't. I know you good enough for that.
What you can do is stop playing too much. 1 hour a day won't hurt you.
We will discuss this further on msn

Sad to hear Daniel son
You never mentioned anything earlier on Msn so must be a recent decision?
Why not just do what I do? Have a quick bash occasionally on the weekends in a Custom room, and RCT ... you can't miss that!
Forget about TA ... it's just frustrating and what do you get from it anyway? your name on a leader board? means nothing in the real world
-proud-
Just play to have fun and don't take the game seriously, there's too much random **bleep**e in the game to take seriously anyway
Oh ... and pre-order GT5 and play with all the MotorStormers PAKI

Good racing earlier, sorry for leaving so abruptly, my roommates wanted the tv !
If not on Pacific RIft, then we'll see you when the apocalypse hits

What's with everyone leaving Pacific Rift? Maybe playing in moderation is harder than it sounds.

C'mon Dani! This is a big surprise.
Would be sad if we didn't race together again.
I do know exactly what the frustration is: you're never finished with the game and never achieve what you want to. I've been playing MSPR for countless hours, not to mention TA. Just don't have enough talent lol to make any impact on TA. But it is always a great feeling when you do better a time.
In any case, I've pre-ordered GT5 as well as Willy, so hopefully we'll see you there. And do follow the advice of Willy: just the occasional Custom and RCT.
MSPR is an addiction, it's just about getting the right balance. But the MSPR community is so good, you just can't depart from it: you'll miss it! Are there any other games where the Top Guys want to share gaming information so others have the possibility to equal their feats?? NO!
If this is a trend, I'll soon be the Top Guy in MSPR..a sad moment...

The key to being happy in this game, is moderation. Don't let it take over you. Play when you want to play, not every day because of habit. Never turn down a social offer outside the game to play the game. Make it something you do when you happen to be in with nothing else as much fun to do.
Easier said than done. That was my philosophy when I came back, however, it hasn't taken me long to become enveloped in TA again, and have more goals than I have time. Thank god I'm off to Africa for two weeks tomorrow. But do what you need to do. If you can't control it, I agree walk away.
This game is a_______e, no doubt. But it can be tamed.
Good luck my friend, and it's been good racing with you since I've been back Your decision is final. I definitely benefited from a break.

Thanks to all of you guys for your kind words and advice. I'm happy with what I accomplished, but just don't play for the right reasons anymore. I'm going to miss all of you that's for sure.
Tin, I completely agree with you. I'm going to leave the disc in the box and try some new things, which definitely doesn't mean I'll play MW2 all day now instead of MSPR Woppa / vinnie, what you have done is very impressive Good job mate!
Wayne, what you do sounds good, but for now I've only decided to still participate in RCT, because many of you have asked me and of course because it's epic
