With the original motorstorm we got 4 new track, with rift we got 14 8 remakes & 6 new tracks, then with MS:A we only get 1 with 2 variants, whats that all about.

And you're surprised?

yeah kind of. I mean thats it, their done. no more updates to the server or DLC. I just don't understand just dropping a game like that. Thats worse than the support for Rift and thought it couldn't get any worse

It's a game that sold 280 000 copies in about a year (cause the release dates were messed up) compared to PR selling 885 000 in 14 months and MV selling 2.5 million in 13 months.
Companies support their games when people are playing them.
Got stats from here.

I hope apocalypse is the last installment of the motorstorm series. I have no confidence in evolution studios making another game that's even close to being as good as pacific rift. MotorstormRC is twice the game apocalypse is and it probably took a quarter of the time to develop. The only reason RC is any good is because there is NO multiplayer to let everyone down. I love motorstorm, but I hate evolution studios.

MOTORSTORM4LIFE
I take it from what you say that you are hugely dissapointed with apocalypse, that's fine, I along with many others are too pnugg. However you appear to say Rift and RC are ok, 2 out of 3 aint bad fella. Did you like motrostorm 1? I for one certainly hope they make another motorstorm, the franchise has brought me countless hours of fun despite evolution studio's apparent shortcomings.
@sice71, I think this all comes back to the timing of the original release date when it coincided with the tragic events in japan. The game was delayed, then didnt sell well at all, sony didnt i feel really want to support it because of the events in japan. The game was really struggling from the start unfortunately. Thats how i see it anyway.

the earthquake & tsunami in japan was a stupid reason to delay the release of MSA. the reason EVO didnt support their game was like Gravity already mentioned, it was a huge flop with low sales #'s. my gripe with MSA is that they tried to change too much. adding betting and perks was a STUPID idea. Evo had a winning formula with MSPR. they should have used that game as an exact model to copy. all they had to do was develop new tracks and some new vehicles. why they felt the need to change physics and how the multiplayer works is beyond me. it's like they wanted to develop a totally different game. dumb, dumb, dumb!!! the reason i dont want to see EVO develop another motorstorm is because i know they will just 'F' it up again, and i will be disappointed. it seems like they were too interested in trying to attract new customers, instead of trying to keep the one's they already have happy.

I have been reading a lot about the no love for MSA and I understand that there are quite a few issues that plague this game. But there are a few things better about it then PR.
Pros:
1. The boosting features are some much better.
2. The ability to choose different types of vehicles before the game begins.
3. The ability to create you own modifications.
4. The ability to do mirror mode.
5. The ability to mute dumb ass.
6. To me, the handling is better. Especially with ATV's.
7. Again, to me, the tracks are pretty good. Once you know the routes.
Cons:
1. To many server issues.
2. Vehicle speed consistency not good. (dirt bike faster then super bike for instance)
3. Betting feature (sucks)
4. Going into saving mode at the startup. Very stupid.
5. Crashing by hitting nothing.
6. Crashing by debris.
7. Not have the ability to select time of day.
Ya, MSA will never be PR, and PR will never be Momument Vally. It's suppose to be different. Change, at times is a hard thing for people to do. But like I have said before. MSA and PR are both distinctly different, and both have good things and bad things about them..
Overall, it's not really that bad of a game..

@pnugg, i agree with the majority of what you say, though from sony's perspective i don`t think it was wrong to delay the game initially. I do agree that the game should've have been more evolution ( pardon the pun ) rather than revolution as you say, why drastically change change a good formula when more subtle improvements in game design would have benefited the game more. As frustrating as it is I think with Evolution studios you just have to take the good with the bad mate. Would any other studio be allowed to take on the franchise?
