Re: TA site resurrected ... again

Hi Lewis,

hmm, what kind of warning? which URL?

I can assure you I dont do anything doubtful, but there are free hosting providers in the loop and I have no control over what they do. I dont think its fishy, but sometimes they add some html code outside of the HTML spec which might raise (false) alarms.

In any case, I dont want to scare anyone off by that, so It would be great if you could get me some details on this to clarify it.

My guess is, it is the free domain name provider that causes it: http://joban123.net.tc

The only content is an iframe to my php-hosting-provider-of-the-day (currently byethost) which might look suspicious to your virus detection software.

Maybe you could try using http://joban123.byethost7.com directly then and see if it changes something. The content of course is identical.

So, I was busy coding again:

In the All Player View you can now see the cumulated distances (Boost/Jump).

Additionaly I have given the links in the main frame a separate row - think this is cleaner.

Short look in the future planning:

- Distances/efforts for the All Summed View (small change).

- Olympics (Fastest and All summed): the 5 best times per country get summed.

- Olympioniques per country (Who contributes and what times do you need to have to be in?)

and now the big one:

- All that is there for time attack now will be implemented for Speed Weekend

If this will be ready before MS:Apocalypse is an open question, though

what do you think about this?

Efforts view for All Summed page has arrived:

E.g. look at how easy it seems for optimus prime to get good times:

if you are going olympic, i suggest only the top 3 times, it also gives countries that dont have alot of depth a chance of closing the gap

Thats a valid concern, but I deal with this differently: if a country does not have enough racers on one track (e.g. only 2), then on all tracks only the best 2 are counted. Summed laptimes are divided by the number of participants of the country, so in the end you have an average laptime that you can compare against single player results.

And then, while I think about it: who says only three can participate? Its just that only three get special rewards, right?

Maybe I just finally introduce some colours on my site But nothing decided, yet

Ok, olympics are already running on my test site - so its coming very soon!

Maybe you could have a look at the country attributes that we currently have and send me updates here - that would really help make it better!
