Re: Graphics MSA VS MPR ( big surprise)

May 7, 2013

Racing on a rooftop and in buildings with stuff everywhere, crashing into ???? No real racing line. I bought the game the first day it came out. Sold it in a week. After 9 or so months. I got the itch. Bought it again, played for a week. It now collects dust. I only played MSPR. If the server's were up I still would be playing it. BTW you could watch some one play MSPR and just watch scenery and think the game was the shht. Watch MSA and all you see is shht. Glad you came around troll to spark interset. Now goes play with your hot wheels.

Its_Me_T Comments does not reflect Ranked Racing,MSPR,This forum or any of its Affilates

Whilst I know the OP is right, MSA graphics push the PS3 GPU to it's limits, it doesn't necessarily translate into more beautiful graphics. MSPR  and MSMV were both better. MSA physics are better IMHO.

The problem with comparing MSA and MSPR physics is that MSA gameplay is like its on fast forward. I wonder if you would be saying the same thing if the MSA gameplay was at the same speed as MSPR?

While FrogmanLego has a valid point regarding the graphic content.  Lewis and Racer 300M have it correct in the problems that was MSA 's downfall and prevented MSA from surpassing the previous versions. Evolution Studios tried to do much with MSA and went for the WOW factor. Seems Evolution Studios was trying to hit a larger target audience and fell flat. The total lack of support on Evolution Studios part was a total slap in the face of all  Stormers!  Additional DLC content could have been made available. I would have given my third testicle to race the MSA epilogue and prologue courses online. :smileylol: As a fellow graphic designer Frogman the creed of good design is KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid and know your market. Didn't happen on EVO's part. Sad but true. PHEW....

I like MSA because it is still fun to play, and I also feel things like vehicle customisation, being able to design your own race mode, having elim and chase mode were all steps up from rift. HOWEVER I terms of physics rift not only beats but obliterates MSA- I mean MSA is the only motorstorm game where I get glitches where I fall from the sky and through walls, get wrecked by a cardboard box if by anything at all, can consistently get spun out by bikes in RC etc etc etc. Also if anything I would say PR and MV were closer in terms of feel and physics. In both mv and PR your car could take a lot more damage, cool down rate was slower, more similar boost strategies blah blah

I agree with smrtb0mb that the game doesn't look as good. I don't really care about poly count. I think Pacific Rift was definitely much better than MSA, but since online for PR has been down, I have started to play MSA a little bit more. It's fun, but it's just not the same as MotorStorm to me. I really get into it though. I can hold my own against most level 80's and I'm only 50 something lol.

I don't know what you were doing there Babs, but, that has never happened to me in MSA.  It looks like you were trying to find a glitch or something.

Never played MV.  But played PR and MSA, and I like them both.  Other then some of the glitches on MSA, they are both fun to play.  It's ashame that a lot of the PR guys don't play MSA.  I think it would be fun to met up with some of you in a room for some racing fun.  Here is one glitch I recorded from MSA.  Since a lot of updates have been made, I rarely see anymore of these.  But once in a while I will get them.

To know how much fun MSA can be when you play with friends.  Here is a recent war event that I had hosted.
