One versus One - The Leaderboard

This leaderboard holds the most prestigious value for the players of MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. As you may have noticed, the Ranked Leaderboard has been broken since I can remember. Therefore, this does not reflect our top active racers in the community. The 1 vs. 1 competitions that have been organised by SOCOMAO3 have often gone more than well, so this leaderboard will follow a similar format.

This whole idea was devised by critter80, I am only formatting it for him, as he asked nicely. The text must be grey so all users can read it.

Challenging an Opponent (Everyone)

Players positioned between 4th and 10th can challenge and be challenged by players who are 3 positions ahead or behind them respectively. (Unless it conflicts with the rules of The God, The Legend or The Hero.)

Players positioned 10th or below can challenge and be challenged by players who are 5 positions ahead or behind them respectively. (Unless it conflicts with the above rule regarding 4th to 10th.)

Winning

If you win a challenge that you made, you will swap positions with the racer you challenged.

If you win against a challenger, you hold your position and can reject that racer's challenge for 3 days. (If you want.) Additionally, you cannot be overtaken by that challenger in these 3 days.

Losing

If you lose a challenge that you made, you cannot challenge a racer who is higher than that position for 3 days. Additionally, you can only re-challenge that same racer inside those 3 days, if they accept it.

If you lose to a challenger, you will swap positions with that racer.

The Inactivity Rule (Everyone)

If a player becomes inactive for 3 weeks (21 days), they will drop a position on the leaderboard.

If a challenge has been confirmed between 2 players, it must be completed within 5 days. Otherwise, the inactive player/(s) will move down 1 place.

If a challenge cannot be made to an active player, send me a Personal Message.

DLC (Downloadable Content)

When hosting, a player cannot choose more DLC tracks than Original tracks.

Any player may decline a race on Hollowed Earth or Hollowed Earth Volcanic, but if two players agree, these tracks can be raced.

Racing Rules

The God

The God must race a minimum of 9 tracks against The Legend when challenged.

The God must host the first 4 tracks of his choice. The Legend will host the final 5. (In a series of 9 races for example.)

The God must race with all vehicles available, Midday ambience, 2-laps.

The Legend

The Legend must race a minimum of 7 tracks against The Hero when challenged.

The Legend must host the first 3 tracks of his choice. The Hero will host the final 4. (In a series of 7 races for example.)

The Legend must race with all vehicles available, Midday ambience, 2-laps.

The Hero and 4th - 10th

All challenges inside the Top 10 must consist of a minimum of 5 races, with the lower position hosting the final majority of races, depending on the total of races decided.

The Hero must race with all vehicles available, Midday ambience, 2-laps.

Positions 4th - 10th may restrict vehicles (Minimum of 4 types available) and change the weather when hosting against each other, but not with The Hero.

All races must be at least 2-laps.

11th and below

All challenges must consist of a minimum of 3 races, with the lower position hosting the final majority of races, depending on the total of races decided.

All hosts may restrict vehicle selection (Minimum of 4 types available) and change the weather ambience. All races must be at least 2-laps.

NEW! - Wild Card Challenges

You can now challenge any lower position than you, putting your "out-of-range" position on the line against people who you really want to race with. This is a gamble for higher positions who may tire of racing the same people, but want to better their stats, or give others a "wild card" chance.

I would also volunteer to be ranked #40 or lower (whatever the lowest rank will be, i would b happy to be on the leaderboard )

edit- just realised i cant do that

i am a bit confused, there are no conflicting rules for the God, Legend and Hero?

edit again- how do we move up the leaderboard?

edit for a third time- what determined the order the list was set in? there are few on there that barely ever play the game anymore

Great idea ... looks like fun. Can you put me on the list. Anywhere is better than 187,500th. Please don't put me in position 187,500 as it would take me three lifetimes to work my way up the list!! lol
